This contraption starts with a series of intricately arranged gears that lift balls to new heights with seamless precision. At the apex of each ascent, balls are guided by a meticulously angled ramp into the next phase of the mechanical ballet.
The magic unfolds as the ramp, holding up to ten spheres, tips elegantly to the side. Nine balls cascade into a waiting chamber while a single ball descends onto a lower path—preparing for the next round of calculation.
Inspired by the abacus, this model operates on a simple decimal system, providing both a visual spectacle and a tangible representation of counting and mathematics.
